Deskripsi :

Spesies barb ini memiliki warna dasar putih dengan garis hitam cukup lebar di mid lateral (dari operculum hingga sepanjang linea lateralis) Sirip berwarna dasar putih sedikit kemerahan pada dorsal , caudal dan anal sedangkan pada pectoral dan ventral berwarna kuning - oranye. Sirip pada dorsal bercabang. Bentuk mulut agak moncong dan berlemak hal ini dikarenakan spesies ini hanya hidup di arus yang sangat deras dan juga memakan lumut yang ada di bebatuan sehingga adaptasi spesies ini membentuk mulut seperti itu untuk menahan benturan dari batu dan juga fleksibilitas ketika mengambil lumut pada berbagai macam bentuk pinggiran batu.  Spesies ini memiliki sungut pada bagian mulutnya. Menurut Kottelat et al , 1993 spesies ini memiliki satu atau tiga tubus keras pada moncongnya. 27 - 35 sisir saring pada lengkung insang pertama, 16 sisik pada batang ekor.

Spesies ini merupakan omnivora juga pemakan lumut di batu.

Tingkah Laku:

Ikan ini lebih menyukai bermain di Kolom perairan dan permukaan air (Pelagic Fish) dan hidup secara berkelompok. Selain itu cahaya merupakan kegemarannya sehingga lebih suka terpapar cahaya dibandingkan bersembunyi dalam gelap

Description:

This barb species has a silvery-white background with black lines sufficiently wide in mid lateral (from operculum to along linea lateralis) fin has an white base color and slightly reddish  on the dorsal, caudal and anal fin while the pectoral and ventral yellowish - orange. branched dorsal fin. Shape of the mouth rather snout and fat this is because this species only lives in the current very heavy and also eat moss in rocks so the adaptation of these species forms a mouth to withstand impact from stones and also flexibility when taking moss in various forms outskirts stone. These species have barbels at the mouth.
